Corporate Social Responsibility

CSR plays a vital role when it comes to the testing industry which is the core business of Lonestar Alpha. We at Lonestar strive to conduct all testing activities at the highest ethical standards and technical levels because we realize the major consequences of not doing so. However, since such responsibility has to be shared by everybody else, we at Lonestar conduct training programs to our respected clients and major contractors in order to make sure that they understand the importance of doing it right for the quality of their projects and the whole infrastructure of Oman. In addition, such training programs or multiple learning opportunities to the Omani youth in order to gain the required experience in our sectors of work

Lonestar Alpha’s policy is to conduct its business in a good professional manner, which demonstrates technical competence and reliability while continuously improving and providing high quality testing and cost-effective service for our clients. For this purpose, we have established and implemented a formal quality system. It is our goal that this commitment to quality will result in complete customer satisfaction throughout our service. This will be achieved by:

  • Maintaining compliance to ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 17025:2017, legal and the regulatory requirements.
  • Continual improvement in the effectiveness of the management system.
  • Ensuring all staff familiarize themselves with the content of the Quality Assurance Manual and complies with the policies, procedures and associated documentation and implement at all times.
  • Providing a service built on a well-established Quality Management System meeting the requirements of our clients and current regulations / standards.
  • Providing accurate and unbiased test results in accordance with the requirement of International or National or Internal or Customer specified test method.
  • Undertaking assignments only where it has the required competent staff and equipment, which are calibrated and maintained.
  • Continuous improvement in key processes through involvement in applicable PTP, IQC Intra laboratory comparisons between analysts and inter laboratory programs.
  • Building staff skills through training and providing career growth opportunities to all employees.
  • Improving profitability of the company in accordance with context of organizations and its strategic direction guidelines set by management each year.
  • Advising the customer, where appropriate, of potential problems detected as a result of tests or investigation in a timely manner.
Occupational Health, Safety And Environmental Policy

Lonestar Alpha Laboratories Health, Safety and Environmental Policy is to provide Healthy, Safe and Environmental working conditions for all employees and all other persons associated with or affected by our activities.  Our Occupational Health, Safety and Environment inspirational goals are simply stated: no accidents, no harm to people and no damage to the Environment.  Working together, our Consortium, Sub- contractors and Customers are committed to achieve the highest standards of Health and Safety through:

  • Maintaining compliance to ISO 14001, ISO 45001, statutory, regulatory, customer,   code of conduct and other legislations of Sultanate of Oman requirements.
  • Reducing OHSE Hazard and risks to our employees and assessing environmental aspect& impacts to our communities by operating in an environment of Safe technology & procedures.
  • Material resources with respect to the Environment and the rights of future generation.
  • Continuously improving through Review, Identify, and Analyzing the work areas, process, and equipment to improve the Health, Safety and protection of the Environment.
  • Hazards to Occupational Health and Safety will be managed to prevent injury, illness and incidents.
  • Communicating OHSE Policy to all employees or personnel working on behalf of Lonestar.
  • Regular review of the OHSE policy to ensure purpose, context of the organization and strategic directions that it is relevant and appropriate.
  • Performing periodic internal audits and implement suitable corrective actions to improve OHSE Management system.
  • Aiming to introduce improved processes to continually improve OHSE performance by monitoring and reviewing objectives and targets.
  • Establish Safe, Healthy and ergonomically working Environment.
  • Providing appropriate training and hold employees accountable for their area of responsibility.
  • Prevent Environment pollution, optimize consumption of energy, water and other natural resources, reduce generation of wastes and ensure their disposal in a responsible manner.
  • Ensure availability of adequate resources to achieve its OHSE objectives.
  • Periodic Management Review of the OHSE Policy to ensure the effectiveness and suitability to the company.
